Getting Started
Welcome to StaYantra. This guide will walk you through the essentials of setting up your account, understanding your role, and using our safety guardrails.
1. Logging In
To access the StaYantra dashboard:
- Go to
https://pms.stayantra.com(or your local dev URLhttp://localhost:3002). - Enter your registered email address and password.
- Click Log In.
[!TIP] If you are on the local development setup, the password for all seeded test users is
StaYantra@dev1.
2. Roles in StaYantra
Every user on the platform is assigned a specific role, which controls what data they can see and what actions they can perform:
- Owner (Remote Owner): Full access to financial metrics, pricing overrides, staff rosters, and AI autonomy settings. Owners can graduate tasks to Auto-Pilot.
- Manager: Day-to-day operations access. Can create bookings, assign tasks to staff, approve general Co-Pilot recommendations, and view shift handovers.
- Staff (Receptionists, Housekeepers, Maintenance): Access to the mobile app (Connect) to view assigned housekeeping and maintenance checklists, log room statuses, and process basic front-desk check-ins.
- Finance/Accounting Roster: Access to folio ledgers, payment reports, payroll calculators, and expense processing.
3. Co-Pilot vs. Auto-Pilot in a Nutshell
In Co-Pilot mode, the AI proposes actions (like adjusting rates or drafting review replies) which you must review, edit, or approve before execution. In Auto-Pilot mode, the AI executes actions automatically within boundaries you set, logging everything for audit. Auto-Pilot is unlocked only after a sustained 90%+ approval rate in Co-Pilot mode.
4. The Kill Switch
Safety and control are fundamental to StaYantra. If the AI executes a task you did not intend, or if you want to temporarily halt all autonomous actions, use the Kill Switch.
How it Works
- The Kill Switch is a prominent red button at the top right of your desktop dashboard and mobile header.
- When activated, all active background AI tasks are instantly frozen. No pricing updates will be pushed, no marketing campaigns sent, and no automated checklists dispatched.
- The system drops back entirely to a manual PMS until you review the pending actions, resolve any concerns, and manually turn the Kill Switch off.
[!IMPORTANT] The Kill Switch is an emergency brake. When it is ON, the AI will not assist with booking routing, automatic housekeeping assignments, or pricing optimization.
The Kill Switch lives on the Autonomy Settings page — toggle it off to halt all background AI tasks instantly.
