Revenue Management & Distribution

Revenue Management is where you control how your rooms are priced and sold across every channel — your own rate plans, length-of-stay restrictions, and the OTAs you're connected to.

1. Rate Plans

Each room type can have multiple named rate plans — for example "Standard Flexible" and "Non-Refundable Saver" on the same Deluxe room. Every rate plan has its own:

  • Price, independent of the other rate plans on that room type.
  • Cancellation policy (e.g. free cancellation vs. non-refundable).
  • Channel availability — which channels (direct, Marketplace, specific OTAs) the plan is sold on.

This lets you sell the same physical room at different prices and terms depending on how flexible the guest needs to be.

2. Restrictions

Restrictions are part of the Channel Manager module and apply per date, per room type:

  • Minimum / maximum length of stay — require or cap how many nights a booking must cover.
  • Closed to arrival — guests can't check in on that date, even if the room is otherwise available.
  • Closed to departure — guests can't check out on that date.
  • Stop-sell — the room type is pulled off sale entirely for that date, without touching the underlying inventory.

Restrictions are commonly used around festival peaks or high-demand weekends, where you want to protect inventory from short, low-value bookings.

3. Channel Manager / OTA Sync

The Channel Manager provides a two-way sync (via Channex) between StaYantra and your connected OTAs:

  • Outbound: availability, rates, and restrictions push out to every connected channel whenever you update them.
  • Inbound: bookings made on those OTAs pull back into StaYantra automatically, so your inventory stays accurate everywhere at once.

[!NOTE] This is a separate, paid module from the free Stayantra Marketplace listing — see Marketplace. The Marketplace gives every hotel a free direct-booking page; the Channel Manager additionally connects you to third-party OTAs like Booking.com and Agoda with live two-way sync.

4. Allotments

An allotment reserves a specific number of rooms of a given room type exclusively for one OTA channel, over a chosen date range — for example, holding 5 Deluxe rooms for Agoda during Dashain, or through a trade-fair week.

  • You can set up multiple allotment windows per channel, as long as their date ranges don't overlap.
  • Rooms held under an allotment aren't available to other channels until the window ends or the allotment is released.

5. Market Events & Competitors

Market Events calendar

A calendar of local demand-driving events — festivals, wedding and muhurat dates, pilgrimages, school holidays, conferences. Some events are pre-loaded platform-wide (Dashain, Tihar, and other national dates), and you can add your own local events specific to your city or district.

This calendar is the actual data behind the "local events" signal that Exubee uses when it recommends a price change — see Co-Pilot & Approvals for how those recommendations reach you.

Competitors

Maintain a short list of nearby competitor hotels and log their rates over time — date, rate, whether breakfast is included, and an availability signal (e.g. sold out, limited, open). Tracking this over time gives you a reference point when deciding whether to hold, raise, or drop your own rates.

[!TIP] Market Events and Competitor rates both feed into Exubee's pricing context — the more complete this data is, the more useful its recommendations will be.
